Who Am I
François-Olivier LOUAIL
I was born in 1970 in France and have been living in Tangier (northern Morocco) since 2004. I first worked as a journalist and then founded and directed a versatile communication agency.
My Qi and Me
Actually, I only practiced judo for 2 years without making significant progress.
The awareness of an internal energy, Qi, came to me as an adult with the discovery of Aikido under the guidance of Étienne Léman Sensei. My practice at l’Institut Français d’Aïkido (Kobayashi school) lasted only 3 years but left a lasting impression on me.
This experience later led me to discover Shiatsu with Mr. Miloudi Touailat, a great karate teacher. I then trained to practice Shiatsu myself.
Finally, after an 18-year break, I resumed Aikido practice from the beginning under the guidance of Professor Mohamed Abouothmane at the Association Aïkido Chamal Tanger.
Training in Shiatsu
I obtained a Certificate of Therapeutic Shiatsu Practitioner in 2018, issued by Jérôme Voisin, Co-founder and Director of the Académie angevine de Shiatsu. This diploma marked the completion of training that began in 2015. Since then, I continue to regularly attend training workshops with Jérôme Voisin and Ivan Bel, the founder of Ryoho Shiatsu and Bernard Bouheret.
I am the administrator of the Facebook group Shiatsu Maroc, author of articles on the Ryoho Shiatsu, and particularly responsible for the French-language podcast Sur les Pas du Shiatsu.
